With the highest number of entries in the history of our contest, there are five awards in this year's Poetry Contest including two top winners! Our panel of judges over the past five years has included poets, and the consensus this time around is that this year's winning entries are done very well.
For the contest, students were to select a Signals of Spring species and address its conservation and/or habitat in the poem.
With a record number of entries this year, the two top honors go to students at the Sussex County Charter School for Technology in New Jersey. Congratulations! Amazon.com Gift Certificates or a special prize to be announced will be sent to your teachers.
In addition to the five named winners, a number of 2004 Honorable Mention Certificates will be sent to students at their home schools.
